Catcher Jorge Posada homered and had 3 RBI as the Caracas Leones defeated the
Burbank Tigers by a score of 7 to 5 at Leones Field.
Brad Penny(3-2) pitched a fine game. He allowed 3 hits and 2 walks in 6
innings seeing his ERA drop from 2.01 to 1.69. Burbank had a chance in the
9th but they came up short.
Penny was helped out by Billy Wagner who recorded his 10th save. Matt
Belisle(2-4) was the losing pitcher. 'We won because we did the little
things right.' Alan Dyche said after the game. 'This is why we practice
things over and over and over, so when we get in close games we don't make
mistakes.'
